The world’s economic growth has decreased due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Many companies are experiencing financial distress, so they cannot pay off their maturing debts. Banks as lenders face risk of non-performing loans. increasing number unpaid loans will reduce a bank’s operating income and gain. contingency approach is used conditional factor that can increase effectiveness firm performance. relevance this study how banking strategies overcome problem uncertainty regarding return during Contingency theory describes organizational success influenced by contextual factors established strategies. purpose systematically review literature related loan restructuring solution in Indonesia. research method 40 articles from Scopus descriptive analysis company statement notes see what banks using Based on theory, results explain which strategy. more appropriate strategy chosen given situation, higher achievement A qualitative provides for bank at maturity through model with modified terms.
